American Bikers Active Toward
Education
Abate..........Our Mission
The
letters "ABATE" stand for American
Bikers Active Toward Education.
ABATE is composed of motorcyclists
from all areas of the State, from
all walks of life, and who ride all
makes of bikes. ABATE is not a club,
it is a politically active
organization working on
motorcyclist's rights. We are
affiliated with national rights
groups like the
American Motorcyclist Association
(AMA), the
Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF)
[Click
HERE for an
important Press Release from the MRF]
and the
National Coalition of Motorcyclists
(NCOM).
Our main focus is to keep motorcycle
legislation in its proper
perspective. Many restrictive laws
are enacted by uninformed
legislators. ABATE's goal is to keep
our lawmakers informed of our
members collective position on
Motorcycle related legislation.
Preventing unfair legislation from
becoming law is easier than fighting
to get the law repealed.
Rider education and public awareness
of motorcyclist are goals of ABATE.
We are not against the wearing of
helmets. We believe in "Freedom of
Choice" and we encourage all riders
to ride safely. An informed and
educated rider is a safer rider.
Helmet laws do nothing to prevent an
accident, and a helmet only provides
the illusion of safety, while rider
education is proven to prevent
accidents and save lives.
ABATE is involved in community
service through programs like "Adopt
a Highway" and "Adopt a Stream". We
also sponsor several State and
District charity events throughout
the year.
A
Motorcyclists' Rights Organization

this site to become an active, more
effective freedom fighter.
ABATE of Georgia is a Team effort -

If You Drive A Car
Here's what carelessness causes.
NOTE:
Historically this site was aimed at
keeping our members informed.
I've come to the conclusion that
this was a mistake. Those who
ride motorcycles already know the
danger posed by automobile drives
who simply won't or don't take the
time to look for motorcycles.
Consequently, this page is currently
being developed to show you what
happens because of driver
carelessness.
You can start by looking at the
following statistics compliments of
Remember the Riders web site:
Motorcyclists Killed
Please note that this DOES NOT
include those who are now mentally
or physically handicapped because of
the carelessness of those driving
automobiles & trucks.
Watch
These Videos and LEARN !!
Europe has a l-o-n-g history of
sharing the road with motorcyclists
and as such they've recently
developed a video that definitely
shows what can happen when you, the
